Have some time on my hands as I am waiting for Loctite red RTV to arrive in order to install the oil pan. No one around here carries it so I had to order it.
The finish on the oil pan has bothered me for awhile. Just gonna say that the paint the oil pan builder used on the steel pan did not hold up well.
So, I cleaned the hell out of it and painted it with silver brake caliper paint. It can handle the heat and has a metallic finish. Time will tell how it holds up.
