Fuel Feed Line Leak

I'm finally re-fitting the fuel tanks to my Tiger after a winter's worth of welding and a general tidy up of the rear. How ever I'm having a devil of a job getting the metal fuel line union which connects to the tank cross over pipe to seal. No matter what I do it still weeps fuel.

Any tips on how to get this fuel tight?

Thanks

there is a copper ferrule that slips over the metal fuel line and seals the fitting. you should use a new one every time you remove the line since it gets crushed when you tighten the fitting. pull the old ferrule off, clean the line and slide the new one on and insert the line into the fitting on the cross over tube and tighten until the leak stops.

The stock fuel line is 5/16 inch O/D. Sounds like you are about ready for some quality road time with your car. Enjoy! :)

Thanks Gene; yes the weather is improving over here & it's time to get on the road again. I've just got to colour sand and re-fit the newly painted boot (trunk) lid, sort a leaking clutch slave cylinder & I'll be all ready for the 50th celebrations. :)
