We've just learned of the passing of Tiger legend George Boskoff.

Fifty-Six years ago George was tasked by Carroll Shelby to "Put one of our engines in that Alpine over there". George's effort became the Tiger.

George recounted his Tiger experience at a number of Tigers Uniteds and SUNIs. In doing so he acquired many Tiger friends.

Our thoughts and prayers for our good friend.

Very Sad News

So sorry to hear the news about George. Here are a couple of photos of George, me, and my car. These were taken a few years ago. The Tiger community will miss George. He was a true gentleman and was generous with his time at various Tigers Uniteds.

I met George at SUNI IV, where I told him I really appreciated the work he did to make the Tiger a reality, but he insisted in turning it all back to Carroll Shelby. Such a nice, humble guy.

Rest in peace George. I only had the pleasure of meeting him once. What a great engineer. What a great mechanic. What a great guy. Gary Hanks

RIP George.

I had the pleasure of hearing George speak a couple of times. On one occasion, I was walking back to my room after George's presentation and ran into him outside. I thanked him for making the trip and we started chatting. He was very gracious and spent a few minutes talking with me.

I'm sure he riding the Big Wave In The Sky right now. Surf's Up!
