OK, Not tiger related.. but i thought i would share this. I was walking to dinner last night and this caught my eye. Its a Mazda MX6 (miata in the states?) that has been converted to an Aston Martin DB9 convertible. complete with 007 number plates... very funny. The front even has the wing vents.

Actually the proportions on the front weren't horrible but the rear overhang was just silly. Anyway... good for a laugh :D:p

There is a whole industry creating body part for the old Pontiac Fiero. Just about any mid-engine car can be created.

Wow.. i hadn't seen the lambo one before.. that's funny. there is also a big range of body reworks for the mid 1990 Toyota MR2's ... but this Aston one really made me giggle, its one thing to see them on the net, but much funnier in person. :p

there once was a time when you could see many conversion kits at the carlisle import show. it seems that now most of the kit cars are mid 50 t birds or cobra replicas. there were a few other kits this year but dude is right about the kits for the fiero. the biggest problem now is finding the donor chassis.

Ther is a real Aston near where I work. It is awsome and no plastic parts can change the look or the sound.:D

Who could forget this one:

There used to be quite a few Porsche slant nose, turbo and 959 replicas based on VW's.. and Ferrari 250GTO based 240/60Z's. They are always funny ot see.. the interesting thing to see were the GTO replicas.. they were actually well done and despite the rise in240Z values.. still bring more than a stock example. Some even had 350 chevs installed to make them go as well as they looked.

Actually.. the newer Aston's use quite a bit of carbonfibre, the DBS has the bonnet and a few other panels and the rest in aluminum. As for seeing the Astons, around where i am, i would see at least 5-6 a day among the other exotica... what made this stand out is that in this spec its rarer than the aston.. I also like despite being such a small car.. and such a big parking space.. they still went outside the lines

The door handles suggest a "NA" series (1990-1997) MX5/Miata, and there are a bewildering number of conversion kits to make one look like various cars. This one is not the worst (the Cobra and the Mustang both are rather misproportioned).

If you think that miata based Aston Martin was small, check out the real Aston Martin mini car base on a Toyota IQ.
