With the local Brits, the Austin Healy and MG guys rarely utter the words "why did they mess up a perfectly good car with a Ford motor" When they do it is a good manner like they have know you for years.

Perhaps you're looking at events in the wrong part of the country. FL would be in the Southeast or "down south".
Just how SouthWest are you, big boy!
I worked in Bradenton a few yrs back and they refer rather strongly to their area as SouthWest, possibly not realizing when a Californian says Southwest, he's probably referring much further west than Crystal Springs, FL. Beautiful area, nonetheless. (I'm about 400 miles west of the Tampa area now)
