When I get over 60mph my rt 1/4 glass on my hard top shuts--is there a way to tighten the latch or am I doomed? thanks.

I agree when that window slams shut, is startles you. I took that long drive to SUNI from the Orlando area & really needed the windows to stay open. I don't know what the "correct" fix is, but here is what I did...

I took a 1/4" plastic cable loop tie down & used one of the existing screws for the latch, then just looped a rubber-band around it. The rubber band (like you get with fresh Veggys) stays with the cable tie, so you can pop off the rubber band when you need to close the window. Corny, but it works....

Aren't you the guy running no rear window in your hardtop. Take off the side windows! Lee

I would look at the linkage closely and see if you can squeeze a bracket a bit tighter, or peen the rivet a bit tighter. The goal being to add some friction into the pivots.

Sorry, I can't help it but . . .

Reminds me of the movie Speed but you have to keep your speed below 60mph or else WAP! it's shut.

I fixed it the good old fashion way--took a small notch out of the rubber and the latch pops into place better---so far all is good over 60mph. Will give it a good test Saturday as we are going to a car show/BBQ at a winery in the foothills and I am leading the caravan.
