Help with repair

I've been contacted by an Alpine owner about repairing her car. She's blown the rear in her Series V and is heartbroken that she's not able to enjoy it. She drove it regularly, often several times a week.

She's been unable to find anyone in the So. Cal Santa Monica area to do a complete swap with one coming from Smitty and is looking for someone to do it for her. This will be a paid-for project, not gratis.

If you might be able to step up, PM, and I'll give you Cy's contact details to sort it out.

Hi Mark!

Have her reach out to our amazing Parts manager Jere Teepen who's also moonlighting as a Tiger repair specialist these days. If you have the membership roster, he should be in there. Jere does great work. he might be a bit bust with Tigers United coming up but it's worth having a discussion.

Quite possibly one of the best Freudian typos I've seen.... though it's probably Jere busy.. and the owners about to go bust šŸ˜œ

Hi Dan. I'd already gotten a referral to Jere and will have Cy (or me) reach out to him after we gather a little more intel.

Cy needs to hear back from Smitty as to whether the rear is complete and, if so, it has wire wheel hubs. Hopefully, this will just be a swap .... to include moving her perfectly good brake bits onto the replacement. If it doesn't include hubs, I can set her up with a pair of Series V-specific wire hubs that'll simply bolt on.

I'll keep this up to date.

Cy attended some of our meetings right after she got her Alpine. Glad to hear she's driving it a lot. Nice person.
