I really think it's a sickness--my "new" Tiger

Well, I did it again--bought another Tiger--this makes #6 now (2 at the moment plus the beater). This is the car that was in the CAT calendar in 1991, the owner called it springtime yellow, either way it's easy on the eyes. I fell in love with it because it's a driver, I am sooo tired of having to be careful around my blue car, in Monterey I put towels on the carpet, washed it every night, ugh, that's a lot of work. :)
The car was restored in the late 80's, actually a nice job in the day. 260 with an F4B and sounds like a mild cam, nice rumble at idle. Not sure of the wheels, they are steel and look a little like the LAT wheels, 14". One of the first "to do" things is change the plastic fuel filter, looks new and scary. Any way--here are a few pics.

Took a family photo today--now I need to decide what may have to leave the family since I do not have room for all these cars--wife says I have too many. :(

Ask her to share in your patriotism- you need a red one, a white, and a blue one:)

Just a respectful curiosity question if I may. I am not that familiar with Mark I's, but the missing driver's side fender brace caught my eye and that lead to noticing the inner fender well pad for it (or whatever it is called). It looks a bit different from others I have seen. Is that typical of Mark I's? Perhaps a repair piece?

Just trying to increase my knowledge base of Tigers.

In any case, looks like a high quality driver. Best of luck and some great quality time with it on the road.

Thanks, Gene

Buttercup

She is sweet. Hard to say from the exposure of the shots how yellow it is.
Possibly a little more manly than Baby I mean Med Blue ish, of your other car. What was the number on the tag? Maybe a few gills on the vents. I can see some child sticking his hand in the holes at a show.

I bet you could do the old lowrider trick and put some foil wrapped breakfast burrito in the vent as a warming bin on your way to the early shows:cool:

The driver side has the brace in the correct spot, at least compared to the 3 others I saw this weekend--hard to see from that angle.
As far as patriotic--I have a red car and white car in the garage. :)

Quid pro quo...

I went back to Med Blue and now you've gone Ol Yeller as well.

Attached is the car I brought to the Cantina in lieu of a Tiger...it's mum's fun car; '68. After having too many projects in various phases, Dad finally bought one to run w/o taking it apart and just drove it... Not driven much lately, I checked the fluids and... It made it from Central Valley to Campbell to San Mateo to camping in Santa Cruz to Baja Cantina, before stalling out on the crawl back north. Couple Tiger chum even passing me while I was on the shoulder.

Possibly the color is quite similar for your new one and Gene's #2 as well...

Meadowlark Yellow fwiw..

Derek--sorry to hear the fellow Ford guys (Tigers) did not stop to help. I believe the 2 colors are very close if not the same, I tried to research it and some say it's the same and others don't, either way easy on the eyes. I had a 65 Mustang vert I restored for my wife's 30th bday years ago---loved the color (because it wasn't red, haha).

Cat scratch fever

Not a song from Ted Nugent, but I got it too. Now what to do with 2 Tigers?

If I was a bachelor that would have happened years ago, haha. As is I have a 3 car garage and I made a 10x34 covered side RV access area. And I still have 4 out front.........Time to down size.

Yeah sure

The hose on the wall like the owner washes his own cars, or wants his man in the home doing it.

I like the Batman garage cause it has a place for Alfred to hang.

Only 9,000 a year in taxes a year, in Calif. that's equal to a palty 1,100,000 home with a 2 car garage.

What a great place--guess I had better play the Lotto tonight. :)
No mention of a pool though........
