I bought the carpet kit from SS and started to install----got stumped. I think this piece goes here, it's the only one that is close to the shape. Am I wrong or did a blind man sew this up? Any help would be appreciated since no instructions come with the kit. Thanks.

Cobrakidz, with Ricks and Martha's carpet kit that is the correct location for that piece. There should be a triangular shaped piece to cover the raised tunnel part. As moondoggie pointed out, if you are being concour correct, your MK1 should have the vynal heatstamped pad. I do not know if Rick sells the pad. Moondoggie, good thing you are not stock, as you are not totally correct on that back shelf area.

Thanks for the help--I should have figured as much since I had to reconfigure the vinyl pieces too....and no, not going concourse correct, way too late for that....haha

Speaking of Martha; could I please trouble someone for her current phone or e-mail. I want to order a carpet but the phone number I have is incorrect. Thank you.

When she made my seat covers late last year I thought she said she was closing down for the winter, not sure if/when she was going to re-open.

Could someone please post a few pics of their Mk1 interiors--it might help me with my carpet install. I would appreciate any help-----thanks. :)

now now... lets all keep it nice..

Cobrakidz.... what parts do you you actually want shots of? mos peoples generic pictures are not going to be more than side shots with the seats largely in the way... I'll see what i can dig up if you are a little more specific.. my car is not much help as its a IA.. but it might be depending what info you need... that said i have a bone stock MKi very close by.. but tell me what pics you need so i get what you want.

Here is a couple of pics of a MK1 carpet a few snaps short of being complete.

Great shots--thank you. I was concerned with the rear area and these help a lot...... :)
I don't recall the SS kit coming with the vinyl cover, does that kit just use carpet?

Tigerracer, that's beautiful. Can I ask where you got the carpet and what color it is? TIA.

Dale,

My Tiger was built as a restomod Tiger and nothing more...but it is kinda nice !! If you want to make a big deal about carpet on the frame rails or vinyle
go for it.

Cobrakids, both Sunbeam Specialties and Pro Prep Interiors (Martha) carpet kits are supplied with carpet for the shelf area. Martha will sew a vinyl pad, it is as close to the heatstamped pad as you can get.
Thanks for the kudos.
Pappenti, I will look up the color tomorrow.
Moondoggie, it is a big deal for Cobrakids and any other Tiger owner that want to know the correct way to install a MK1 carpet kit. Now that they know the correct way, they can decide to "restomod" and leave a few pieces off.

What your problem Dale ??? I just posted a picture showing the correct Mk 1
parcel shelf cover and you have some kind of boner about other things that are really not relavent to the post. IF you have some kind of issue with me just email me and we can go there.

The rectangular pieces with the strip of vinyl cover the vertical area between the shelf and floor pan. The vynal is glued on the top of the shelf. The square piece with the two corners clipped is another deviation from stock that both SS and PPI take liberty with. This piece covers the tunnel under the console. I will take a few more pics showing other vinyl pieces not included in the kits today.
