"investment grade" Tiger B9471147 LRXFE

Tigers never had glove box doors either as far as I know. I like this lighter wood but to be correct it should be darker , right?

No, tigers never had a glovebox door, and this one has a ratyer large gap around compared to most..

On the wood colour, the majority of dash + steering wheels were a very dark stain, thats why its often hard to spot the bakerlite inlay in the wood wheels in period B/W photographs. That said, i have seen a few original cars that appear to have lighter dashes, however they are generally quite delaminated which suggests they have faded/lightened with age.. more to the point, there was one which had the wheel covered since new, dash was lightish when the wheel was unwrapped.. dark.

1. The RHD Tigers have the pedals that have the pivoting joint organ style with a rubber cover that attaches to the floor, the pedal is attached to a metal linkage that runs across the firewall in the engine bay..
The LHD cars had a suspended pedal that didn't have a cover just metal and has a stop that mounts off the transmission tunnel to stop you overextending the pedal and snapping the cable throttle:

lots of people fit the aftermarket "TIGER" rubber pedal pad, not correct but stops your foot slipping and looks nice (IMHO):
2. All alpines and Tigers have a panel light switch. On early alpines it also controls the map/glovebox light.

3. On the early alpines and on early tigers the seats had contrasting pipping. IIRC this stops somewhere on the cross over body cars with the Gt interiors.. someone with a BON can probably give the correct VIN for the change.

4. I believe the key should turn to the left to start the car, so that should be correct (teeth down)

Thanks very much for that Michael. :) My Tiger knowledge is growing slowly but surely!
