John Morton with Jay Leno Non Tiger

Nice interview...I thought the Tiger connection might come up at some point- Jay owned one, Shelby American raced one, John is currently racing one- oh well! Good to hear John's book is doing well. I sure enjoyed reading it:)
 
Interesting bit about them racing the 260 engined Cobra. Anyone know what was done to the engines and what sort of power they had?

All other things being equal, cam, heads and carburetor the displacement deficit would make less power.

The 260 is basically the same engine. A smaller bore with same stroke. Race preparation would include porting and efficient exhaust for both the 260 and later when Ford started casting 289's.
