The stamping company we use for other welding concerns has looked at our original air cleaner and could run off 101 exact clones for $5K. Now wouldn't that just flat ruin the market !!

Randy, it wouldn't.. but would burn a hole in your pocket! i looked at this about 5 years ago.. and i came to the conclusion that if you charged $400 for them they would probably sell without effort.. but how many would you sell quickly..maybe 20? And then at $400 it didnt cover costs!

You Are Correct

As a hobby venture, the P&L ledger is flexible (to a point). But, you are correct in that the market is too niche to accept the risk . . . .OR, the balance of unsold product could make a wobbly frisbee ?

Easy to sell

More than 20. Most all the Tiger guys I hang with have the same discussion on how the air cleaner could be reproduced at one time or another.

Anyone read the questions on the e bay ad? Is it made of metal? funny considering the rust on the back side. I am in a lot of trouble if my fiberglass boat starts rusting too!

The trouble is chrome plating it as well, with the fiberglass ones out there it make one want to have theirs plated just to show off.
