Can This Alpine Be Saved?
While it is hard to tell from the three photos, the body itself looks like it is in decent shape. It seems to me that if the mechanicals are in pretty decent shape, this car might be savable as an Alpine. Will need a lot of interior work, though, to make the car decent once again. If the running gear is shot, then it is a good source, as Mike said, for Mk 1 body parts. It might also be a good car for a V6 or other interesting engine transplant. It just would be nice to have another Series IV Alpine GT in the world.

Yummy crushed velvet from the 70's. Shame it's not purple.
I remember this phase of car personalising. Lace paint used go with it.

Yep, that lace paint job on a 1966 or 1967 chevelle was big in the 70’s.
A lot of lace table cloths were stretched over the hardtop and painted. A lot of weird things over the years like the stuffed kids propped up on the grilles of cars at car shows, what was that about?
