David W. put this on the calendar:

Cobra Owners Club of America have invited us to join them May 11th and 12th at Willow Springs Raceway in Rosamond, CA, and run our Tigers on the track. $200 (in advance) for a weekend is a great bargain, which will include a driving tips session courtesy of COCOA. At the gate, the cost will be $250. Both prices assume the event has not sold out.

C.A.T. will hold our meeting Saturday, May 11, around noon. Note that everyone, including spectators, must pay an entrance fee of $10 per person.

Please register early and avoid the possibility of getting turned away.
Make checks payable to Cobra Owners Club of America and mail to:

COCOA
PO Box 823
La Canada, CA 91012

For those who want to open up their Tiger on the track, there will be a tech inspection beginning at 8 a.m. with rules very similar to a Tigers United or C.A.T. autocross event.

1) Dual throttle return springs are required.
2) Battery hold down must be secure.
3) Anything that can slide around in the cab or the trunk must be removed
4) Tires, brakes, and seat belts must all be in good shape.
5) Check for any loose lugs, bolts, nuts, wheel bearings, etc.
6) Roll bar is needed for anyone wishing to participate in the faster groups.
7) Have a fire extinguisher attached to a fixed point with a metal bracket.
8) No leaks! We don’t want to oil down the track for that 7 figure car behind you.
9) Wear a SNELL 2000 or newer helmet

There will be a MANDATORY driver’s meeting Saturday May 11th at 9 a.m.
If you have any questions, please contact Dan MacMedan at Director3@catmbr.org.

And if you don't plan to run your car around the track, come on out for the meeting and to watch some Cobras and Tigers doing their thing on the t

Weather Forecast

I just checked the rain forecast for Rosamond for Saturday.

The weather service is predicting a total of only a half of a tenth of an inch of rain between 5A and 5P on Saturday. It doesn't seem like we'll have too big an issue with rain for those who want to run their cars around Willow's Big Track on Saturday much less interfere with our CAT membership meeting at noon. (Where we'll have hot dogs for lunch.)

If it happens we actually see some real rain, it's my experience that the Big track dries off very quickly.

Hope to see you all there. It appears we will be TACing some cars as well.
