Cut and paste from auction site.

Be fun to go look at this one only an hour away. Is it Polar, Arctic ,white or Moonstone?

I had a bright white Tiger back in the 80's and it just didn't look "right", this does. Curious to see if the prices will continue to rise......

No TAC but in Huntington Beach in 89. Got to think it's one of Dale's efforts. Powder coated frame must be the front end. What day is it Sat? They are within 20 in Lot number

The black car has no passenger door handle or window crank and the guy has the shifter boot down below the bolts on the Hurst arm. Odd.

Looks like it was a TKO installation pre offset shifter/modified case version now available as for one thing, the shifter is centered in the tunnel... also the ashtray is removed so it's probably a little astern from stock location too
On my T5 install, I had to cut down the shifter stub and other massaging to get the boot to cover it all...

Lot #'s indicate late Saturday at the auction... are you going to check it out, Warren ?

Odd that you'd put that kind of effort into restoring the car - then send it to auction and/or publish pictures with those obvious flaws.

Kind of like taking a picture of your classic show car with a flat tire.

but you see it a lot

Car looks very nice 'overall' but...

looking at that same interior shot... no lower dash roll... 2 indicators for turn signal ( seen that a few times )which appear to be round ( stock ones aren't hard to get ).. maybe the high beam is where the overdrive plug goes.
I also see a 'Jaegerized' 8K Autometer tach which I used to ( and Paul still does ) sell

Any guesses on the 'hammer' price ?

Go

Jim I'd like to go. Anaheim is less that 45 min to one hour away. I am guessing it is one of our local guys. I always wonder why the pictures are few and lack detail, I guess they want you to come see. I wonder why the door handles and window cranks are not on car. Figure a 130,000 spent on restoration would include em:) I like the alloy radiator blacked out. I was just discussing the look with a fellow Tiger guy yesterday. If anyone want to meet up that'd be great. I have only watched the auctions on TV. My cars are all ghetto Cragislist and Recycler finds

interesting looking car... shaved of the SUNBEAM lettering, has the rpero 8K tach face (though needle is sitting bellow 0 so wonder if its working?) missing the bottom dash pad roll. The shifter does look off sticking up.. and note it sa tremec 5 speed... they have also covered over the usual tiger round opening in the tunnel.

Nice looking car.. some nice mods listed and if Dale did the body am sure its good under the paint.. wondering if the car has been finished for long.. or actually been fully finshed... maybe seller is just testing the market to ghet his $ back?

Michael

That's a quirk of the Autometer tach movement... It only reads '0' when power is applied. The stock needle will stay up in the 'numbers' without power but the Jaeger needle is heavier and drops down . It still reads correct with the engine running though...

Results!

The white Tiger sold for $93k + fees

Black Tiger bid to $80K and probably no where near reserve

Good numbers. To me the white color was more appealing, hopefully it stays in the area and we can see it a little more at some events.
