MK II Alt Brackets

We have an opportunity to do a short run recast of the MK II alternator bracket, as original, in high strength aluminum. The minimum order for 11 of them would run $4,600.00. The initial pattern and core boxes are the high costs, while the actual raw casting is a bargain. Machining eats up a few more dollars. The final costs would be $425.00 each. If there is enough interest, I'll turn the smutty-nosed foundry cats loose on the project.
PS: Was just made aware that this has been done by others. I was unaware . . . . .

Feel free to compete. I would rather purchase occasional needs than dive into deep investment . . . . . . .

Weren't these dineva little while back ? Maybe Paul reintz (sp?)

I recall someone casting them accurately part number and all .. Also offering a light weight version
