MKIA: Bonnet (hood) release handle

original bit the dust.... I can try to plastiweld or similar, but doubt that will take the torque.

So...

the one I have on the car is a solid rod and no marking on the handle...

I also have 2 "extras" that I bought years and years back. One arrived with a crack in the handle and was attached to cable, the other attached to solid (IIRC) and it says "bonnet" on handle.

so...

Do we know what is correct for an early crossover MKIA?
