Both Tom Sakai's and our SCF Tiger have been accepted for both this August's Monterey Pre Reunion and Reunion.

Buck,

do we know which other tigers will be at the reunion? Being the 50th i would hope they make the Tig's welcome.. I know a few cars (monster and LM ) are going to EU and may not be around.. but what about the Galstrad, HSC and Loraines black car?

Besides Tom's & our Tiger, I know of 7 others that applied. I'm waiting to hear of others that were accepted.

Both of Steve Sorensen's Tigers have also been accepted. Steve and Dan Walters will drive.

Dave Stone's HSC Tiger and Dale's were also invited.

So far a record 6 Tigers have been accepted and we're waiting to hear about the other 3.

Starke Shelby's Tiger has also been accepted so we are now at 7 Tigers for the Monterey Grid. Still waiting to hear on the last two.

Buck--see if you can arrange a photo op for the Tiger group (race cars and street cars) at the track, you know, when they do it in front of the tire bridge on the track.....you're the best. :)

I may be able to drive my Tiger there - details are being examined to see if it can work.

Any recommendations for a hotel would be appreciated.

Monterey is a good distance away for us Georgia boys, and I am totally unfamiliar with the area.

Most hotels are getting or already booked--might have to look in Salinas or other areas about 40 miles from the track. We lucked out and found a hotel near downtown Monterey.

I found a motel room near downtown as well, with a chain where I have a free night due :)

Now to try and make the details work: Atlanta/SUNI/Glacier national park/Seattle/Monterey ...

And now to book a ticket in the Corral.

Do we have any idea how many Tigers from CAT are planning on going? I will be in the corral.....

My friend Brian and I will be there in my Carnival Red Mk1a.

Right now the plan calls for leaving San Diego on Wed and making our way to Pismo Beach. I'll spend as much time on two lane roads as I can.

We'll roll into Carmel around lunch time to see the Pebble Tour cars.

All ways willing to caravan so sing out.

What do I need to do to get a spot in the corral at the track?

Go to the Laguna Seca web site and they list the different corrals--$25 plus your ticket. Worth the money as we always park with the Shelby's every year----way closer to the action and not as dirty as the parking lot.

Laguna Seca ca. 1980 A few years after I bought. Still wearing PO finish. Parked on the dry "lake" bed infield. Came back to find 007 parked next to me. A lot has changed since then. Shot looking up the hill towards the treetops of the Corkscrew.

Justin--great pic and you are right--a lot has changed there. I've only been going since 1984 and it was very "simple" even then.
