It was another great weekend at the Monterey Historics--here are the Tigers that were spotted. Someone kept saying they saw a Med Blue one but I never saw it.

Great Pics wish I were there.

Thanks for all the great pics. It looks like the 3rd Tiger displayed (green with tan interior) sold for $62k it was TAC'd according to description by Mecum Auctions. The 4th Tiger displayed (dark blue metallic with grey interior) also sold last weekend for $96,250. The description by RM Auctions (http://www.rmauctions.com/lots/lot.cfm?lot_id=1061219) did not mentioned if it had been TAC'd only that it was that it was listed in the Sunbeam Tiger Registry. Beatiful cars and some hefty prices. Looks like prices are going up.
Keep em on the road.

Thanks. Both of the cars mentioned were beautiful. I had never seen the red/white Tiger before, talked a lot to the mechanic, nice guy.

Need a quicker shutter finger Kidz.. missed the front on both the racers!

The #7 car has quite a detailed website about it.. interesting race history.. and good to see it on the track.. any idea of how it did?

here is the site;

Pity they dont get some American libre replica wheels for it so it looks period correct.

as for the green tiger at RM.. we discussed that on the forum... 96K.. are
we sure that's a legit bit?.. this car had a home made engraved VIN and JAL.. and is even missing the soft boot cover.. also the SUNBEAM V8 shields... at over 100K all in... I should list my car in the states.. sell it and buy a nicer one for mid 50's! :rolleyes:

Just realised, the #7 Tiger is Stephen Sorenson, i thought he used to race a red one with white hardtop that looked like a works rally tiger... this s much more SCCA in look... hope he gets it dialed in and up the front with the SCF car and Tom Sakai.

Steve's #7 is the historic Art Firmes CP Tiger with its full cage removed. It is white with red trim. He "babied" it last week since he has not yet installed some type of prevention for rear spring wrap up like traction masters.

It probably won't take Steve long to get more speed. His engine seems to be as powerful as Tom's or ours.

Last year Steve drove his green Tiger at Monterey but ended up blowing the fuse to his fuel pump.

Thanks for reminding me Buck... as i recall the green car was runnign right up with Tom last year before its issues. Will be great to see him mixing it further up the field when eh sorts the new car out. Also great to see proper historic Tigers making it back ou on the Track... we just got to get you guys to post some pics!:cool:

Several times while panning I bumped into my friends shoulder--hence the cut off front ends. haha. Of course he got great pics. :(
