John Morton's new book, Inside Shelby American, is now available.
You can find it on Amazon or you can buy autographed copies directly from John ($28+$4 shipping) by emailing Sylvia Wilkinson. sywilk@sbcglobal.net

As most know, John was one of Shelby American's earliest employees and worked in the race shop starting with pushing a broom and eventually becoming a Shelby team driver. This is definitely written by an insider and includes sections on George Boskoff's building the Shelby Tiger prototype as well as some material on Shelby Tiger racing.

Amazon and BarnesandNoble Prices

I checked just now, and both Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com have the book discounted to $20.72. Note that store prices may be different.

I will gladly pay retail Saturday at Willow Springs. With autograph!

I ordered from Amazon when I first heard about it. At full price. Without John's autograph:mad:

New plan:
To get an autographed copy send $32 with your name and address (and how you want the book signed) to John Morton, 514 Arena St, El Segundo, CA 90245-3016.

I was going to ask where out-of-towners could get their autographed copy from--thanks.

I thought Amazon has a best price guarantee, which means you should pay the lowest price at which the book was offered up until the day of release. Hopefully you won't be paying full list price from Amazon.

My copy arrived Tuesday. I had ordered it on 9/19 from Barnes and Noble. My price was $19.33 plus shipping ($1.74). Hopefully I will see John at one of the events and get his signature. Unfortunately, I ordered it before I knew I could order it from John.

Thanks for posting this, had not heard of it. My copy (Amazon, at a discount) arrived in two days yesterday; I have a queue of books on my desk to read and I might bump this one to the top.

A quick look at the index does not show a lot of page listings under "Sunbeam".
