Just got my parts back from the chrome shop. They look fantastic!

Spacecoast Plating in Melbourne Florida. It cost $3700 for everything. A lot less than I expected and they did a fantastic job.
 
A good deal fer sure. The also rans around here will re-work the blems several times at about the same money but we put up with the delays and arguments. Our high-end preferred chrome shop is priced well above that but then , the work is superior and fully covered.
 
This work is show quality and fully covered for two years. Florida has some very cheap labor, low taxes and few environmental laws.

Our high-end guy is wedged between two working canals (grandfathered) and the EPA does constant walk-thru's just waiting to catch them spilling a drop. PITA
 
With all due respect I think that the EPA has got the same p i t a for everybody's a .
One of my local buddies here had told me about a local shop that sends their work to where he just had his work done.
 
The EPA ( state & feds) as well as the Fire Marshalls, DOT, Haz Mat and other agencies are not a problem if a business is pro active and follows the rules and regulations as set for your business. My many years as an oil company operation manager for 13 states convinced me of that. There are two necessary things called attorneys and insurance that every business such as a plating shop has to have and shops that follow the rules continue to operate. If they don't comply they have to close up as many shops have had to do. To comply does have a cost which effects the cost to re chrome a piece. If the shop doesn't do the work correctly the shop will eventually fade away. LiBrandi's in Middletown, Pa. does great plating but they're not cheap and they stand behind their work. Plating pot metal is a complicated process and $3700 for everything done is a good deal.
