I don't suppose there's anybody in the Tiger community who doesn't know who Norm is...please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Norm had a stroke about a month ago. He is recovering at home, he's ambulatory, and slowly getting his speech back. He still has a ways to go to become his curmudgeonly self. We all owe Norm a tremendous debt for his work in the Tiger world. Kirk

Thanks for sharing and wishing Norm a speedy recovery, I would not have my Tiger if it wasn’t for him. God Bless - Doug

Best wishes to Norm for a speedy recovery. He is an invaluable resource to our community and has personally helped me on many occasions.

Get well soon.

Same here! Norm pointed out a Tiger for sale and I ended up purchasing it.
It's been a great little car too. 79th Tiger to be TAC'd and Norm was even one of the TAC inspectors for it. Get well soon Norm!

Best wishes to Norm for a speedy recovery, I was not aware he had a stroke was wondering why he was not replying to my emails. Sadiq

Norm helped me identify all the numbers on my Tiger and a great help. Wishing him a speedy recovery and a better 2021.

Any update as to how Norm is doing? Again, my prayers go out to Norm and his family.

I talked to Norm yesterday. He sounded better than he did a month ago. Thoughts and words were flowing fairly fluently. I asked him if he's doing anything Tiger and he laughed and said he's just trying to get back to normal.

It's kind of ironic that maybe 6 months ago I messaged Norm and asked him if he had thought about who he wanted to pass the torch to when he's done. He didn't respond. Norm and Bill Martin are very close, but Bill said Norm has never mentioned anything to him about it. Obviously, it should be someone who's not a senior citizen like most of us. I hope that day comes later rather than sooner, but it makes you wonder...

Bill Martin wouldn't be a choice I'd make- we need someone who treats people with respect without digging into their pockets

Bryan, my mention of Bill Martin was to make the point that even the person who talks to Norm daily, the guy that bought his shop, his confidant...Norm had never mentioned passing on the torch to him or anybody else.

maybe so- we are caretakers of these cars for a little while- when and not if the torch is past I hope it's intrusted to someone or company that keeps the heritage of sunbeam going

What qualifies as young in Tiger circles these days?
Michael, the generation of Tiger owners kids coming into their 40's or so who are already heavily vested in Tigers. I've seen some from that group involved in restorations, auto crossing, active in Tigers United's, etc. since they were teens. That gives the marque another 30 or more years of stewardship before the torch needs to passed on again...

Had contact with a 45,35, and one under 30 year old a couple of weeks ago thru Craigslist. There's a lot that goes unseen these days.

According to all the Obits, I've outlived all my original issue playmates. Time for fresh blood . . . . .
