Oil Pressure Gauge Hose

As I am working toward re-assembly I am interested in an improvement over the plastic line available to run from the engine to the oil pressure gauge. I expect my new motor will test the plastic line a bit more than the old 260 and see a Stainless option used to exist with Sunbeam Specialties and CAT but are no longer listed.

Any ideas?

Actually CAT Parts just received a new batch of the braided stainless oil lines. I think they cost about $46.

Metal oil pressure line kits are available at Jeg's, Autozone, Advance or any of the big box auto parts stores. I bought a kit recently at Pep Boys.

I appreciate the great responses. I thought the gauge fitting was unique.

I have seen a number of cars with a copper line, another option for you. I hear your concern running a plastic line.

Look

I guess it depends on the look you are looking for. Maybe it seems better to support CAT parts and buy it done rather than building one of soft copper.
Maybe putting a Home Depot ball valve in place of the heater valve, it certainly would be more reliable. Isn't the fitting on the gauge some odd Brit thread ? Be sure to check if buying outside. Thanks for posting, as it's on my buy list too.
