Getting ready to add fluids and have a larger cap. alloy oil pan.

Wondering if my old engine oil dip stick tube and dipstick are original.

Tube is broken so will have to repair or replace.

The tube measures 14 3/4' from top to where it goes in the block.

The dipstick measures from the stop to the full mark at 22 1/2"

That would put the full oil level 7 3/4" down below where the oil tube enters.

Do those measurements agree with your tigers?

Thanks!!!!!

Ordered a C20Z-6754- A Oil Tube (15.83" in length including embed length) Hopefully the correct factory tube.

Is this the correct dipstick tube?

It was the right length but required a little bending of the tube and the bracket.

I ended up shortening it to by about 3" to suit a shorter dipstick,

The longer new dipstick had such a long handle that it would have hit the hood when closed. My OEM dipstick was missing the stop at the top and had a shorter handle.

The critical dimension is where the full mark is after installation.....

My dipstick measures out at just under 16" with a slight bend, so it sounds like you have the right dipstick on order...Kirk

New ones

I'm working on a late Mk1 (3300+) and it had a bad dip stick, end broken.

Sunbeam Specialties has some good repos of the tube and dipstick.

They are the same length as what came off the car.:D

The tube is just under 15" to the bead that limits how far it goes into the front cover.
