One Tiger at Mecum

At a casual glance it looks like they used the same pics. To me. that the seller would be that lazy is for some reason very telling. A bit of a negative reflection on them, and unfortunately the car. But I guess if you are a busy flipper, you go with what you got. Just another financial transaction with minimum out of pocket expense, and involvement. Somehow sad to me. Think the car deserves better. Hopefully next buyer will be a caring keeper.

Looks like a decent car for $30k. Bid it up real high to help out our values........thanks. :)

No luck there... sold for $30k again with the reserve OFF... What am I missing here ??

I watched the auction 'live' on the web and hadn't noticed before that there is a large set of vents on the hood but only on the passenger side... Machine gun door ?

I'm think that maybe Mecum isn't the place to sell your car... They have a '67 listed for next month... http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_detail.cfm?CFGRIDKEY=SC0514-184134

They're calling it a MKII ..."discontinued production after only 534 Series II Tigers were built. The limited production Series II 1967 Tiger offered here has benefited from a frame-off restoration."... but there's not a MKII part on it that I can see

Mk IIs Sell for More $$$$$

This looks like the same car that I sent an e-mail to Mecum, commenting on the fact that the car appeared to be a Mk 1A with a 289 engine swap. Of course, they never replied and their fine print indicates that they are NOT responsible for any errors in the listing. So an unscrupulous person can try to push their Mk 1A as a Mk II and hope that they get more moolah.

Missing MK II Stuff ??

Noted missing is the perch on the LH inner fender for the specific MK II FIELD ISOLATING RELAY . . . .

MkII?

Clearly not a MkII. Probably not even a 289 - that looks like a generator, I think. The confusion might be that it is registered as a '67 and that may make them believe that it is a MkII. I've had people make the same incorrect assumption about my MkIA.
