A long time customer called with a hot Tiger problem and described what he had done recently to help cure a slight high gauge reading that had plaqued him for a few seasons. He went thru the list of a better fan/high-flow pump/all new hoses/etc., and the problem only got worse until finally boiling at highway speed. Long story short, I asked him to observe the lower hose while revving the motor. You guessed it; no anti-compression spring in the new lower hose and the high volume pump was collapsing it. Old school problem from years ago, still happens today.

Hope I didn't embarrass you, P.L., but just had to tell the story.

This is why you should always watch a dyno pull......without the spring the sucker goes completely flat...ah a stock 260 might just ripple a littel bit...
