Can anyone reccomend a good paint (and very minor) body shop in the LA area?

Also, I was thinking that in order to stay as original as possible, to use a single stage laquer instead of the more common color coat/clear coat system...any thoughts? I was considering going slightly north (out of LA county) in hopes of getting a better quality paint (due to epa/sales restrictions).

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,

Josh
PS keeping the color the original white.

Laquer paint in the heat will "laquer check" at some point, plus probably hard to find. I know you can still get single stage enamels and they are actually pretty good. When I re-do mine I am going to go base/clear for the ease of polishing scratches out, durability and shine.

Coast to Coast ?

Just curious for a bi-coastal cost peek; what would be the average strip, prep & paint dollars on the left coast. Here in the east, the good guys get between $6K - $10K for a quality warranty job. Usually includes a post-assembly clean up. It's all relative to how much prep is needed, of course, not to mention the variety of products from base/clear thru the hard single coatings.

Yes, between 6 and 10k for a good job. And, as you mentioned, additional monies for major stuff............

I have have talked to few guys that have taken their cars and had the body and paint work done in Arizona.

Cheaper, and, you can get paint "the greens" don't wet the bed over........

I still like one part enamels.
