Hanging around Smitty's, I found a typical tire lug wrench that is much thicker diameter than what I'm used to seeing in the stock tool clutter. It has the exact same shape and lug size, just very heavy duty ?? Any input on this?

question

randy,
I have several that have a smaller diameter handle. I would call them 3/8 " instead of the 1/2" in my alpines. the smaller diameter ones were in my fastbacks.

Rugged Critter

This tough critter is more upwards of 3/4" or 7/8" grip. I shipped it home and will take pics with actual dimensions later. . . .

I have wondered about this for some time. All the Tigers I have had have had the large diameter lug wrench. All the Alpines I have had had the small diameter lug wrench. The BON does not state diameter. So when I have seen small diameter ones being sold on as a Tiger lug wrench at Tiger prices???

questions

they can be tough to use to remove lugs that some gorilla at a tire store worked on previously. the handle is so short you risk busted knuckles and worse if you decide to stand on the handle.
