Restoration Needed

Hello Everyone

I would like to get a few recommendations on a company/person in northern CA to restore our MK II. I would like for them to be close so I can visit to see progress. I also need it to be a company/person that will work on it consistently because I would like for it to take months not years. My goal is to keep it original as possible.

Hi: It would help if you would detail the needs a bit; body rust? Mechanical? Paint? etc. Most of us that specialize in the 'Beams" are quite backlogged. just sayin'
 
As said, probably most that specialize in Sunbeams are busy. However Bill Martin is in Northern California. I believe he is a member of STOA. In the Santa Clara area. Not sure what the policy is on naming a business here so I will refrain. PM me and I can tell you. He is more than likely swamped but may have some ideas.

Did you check out the White Pages in the members-only section at the top of the Forum? You can get contact information about parts vendors and service providers there. However, it is always nice to get testimonials from people who have had work done on their car. Good luck with yours!

I'm not affiliated with any of them but I suspect that you may have to go out of your area . There's several not listed that are out of your area as well.

Thank You for the reply's. I will more than likely take the road of doing this restoration myself and utilize the specialized services of some of the folks that focus on one aspect or another to complete this restoration.

Where are you located in "N. Cal"?
Northern California is as big as many States. If you let us know where you are - it would be easier to point you in the right direction.

On the restoration topic I have talked to the 5 MK2 member that has had wheel arches produced and he has a couple sets available.

Warren, I will look into the control settings. As for wheel arches, mine are in great shape and will be re-used.

I'm located in Carmel just off Carmel Valley Road opposite from the Middle School. Your welcome to come by and take a look at my MKI Tiger which has been restored by Bill Martin @ Rootes Group Depot in Santa Clara.

Not on the restoration but on the changes on your user control panel. We lost some Avatar's in the last update and forum crash. Something that will hang around is adding a signature with your real name and town vehicles owned or a comment.

Nice of you to offer Dan a chance to look over the job Bill did on your Tiger. As you know, it is always a good idea to look over someone's work before committing their Tiger and money to him.
