Soft top metal storage compartment help

Watching a video on the alpine site it showed a gasket on the center of the raised bottom edge of the 2-metal side covers the inside edge of my covers have been flattened. Want to make sure there should be a gasket there before I pry my edges up. Warrens first picture on post 13 should show that edge. Thanks Kevin
 
It's a little rubber piece that's held on I think with rivets Sunbeam Specialties sells the rubber.

Warren I just got that end gasket and the one for the back piece what I'm asking is there a gasket here
the video I saw had them, I suppose they may have just used some extra gasket from the back said it helped with rattles.

Sorry no gasket is there on the cars I've seen. I suppose some Dynamat would not hurt.
 
Sunbeam Specialties does sell a rubber seal to fit on the edge of the boot covers. I have a set in the shop. They help prevent chipping of the paint.
