Speedometer Light

I have a 66 Tiger which appears to have a burn't out bulb in the Speedometer, you just can't read it at night. Have only owned the car for about 3 years in which most of the time was in the shop waiting on parts. What is the best way to go about replacing the bulb? Looks like there's a lot of stuff in the way to get to the light holder.
Thanks for your advice in advance.

Not easy to pluck that wee critter but can be reached when the finger are feeling agile.

Disconnect the battery first !
Why?? no voltage with the lights off/panel lamp switch off.... You might also make sure that the ground wire is installed and the thumbnut really tight. I had the same issue with the light in my tach. pulled the bulb and it tested good. ground was connected, but no joy. found I really had to tighten the thumb nut. Works now!
