Starting masters and related plumbing

After I got the Tee soldered up, time to sort out the messy lines coming out of the brake masters. Not a lot of room, have to squeeze in the residual valves, and the rest of the hoses and lines. Got a good start, added some stainless rivnuts for holding things down and made a bit of head way. Have to come of with a curly-q connection from the residual valve to the lower part of the firewall where the brake line bulkhead fitting is. Not sure if I'm going to use flex line for the front brakes past the residual valve, but for now it's in place just to see how it will fit. Likely swap it for hard line, but may need some work on the cross member as the brake fitting is really close to the steering shaft. Have to assess that later. Used 2 types of Rivnut tools, the little one is good for tight spots but not always a good bet, the other tool (silver one) is a really good tool from the UK that always works well. Once I get the small line done will likely move on to the in car line to the rear.

Those rivnuts are pretty handy... I've used them on a lot of projects. a 'friend' borrowed my whole kit and I'm having a hard time getting it back lol
My brake light feed wire went from about 6' long ( stock location ) to 6" having the switch right by the fuse box (y)

Best not to use long flex lines from the master to any connection. I have a client who did this with his MK2 when he went to dual circuit brakes and there was massive pressure loss due to the flexing of the hoses. It was NOT air in the system, but it sure felt like it. I replumbed with steel lines and the problem was totally cured.

Yeah, I was being lazy with the long line, more to bootstrap things. Will have to pull the crossmember and move the fitting as it's in a tight space if I don't use a hose fitting. Adding to the list :)
