Have a friend who is helping to restore a Mk11 and asked me about repairing the steering wheel hub and componets, any new tech imfo out there or parts.
Thanks Kevin

Several great tech articles in old teae newsletters. You can fill and sand the cracks with Eastwood or similar product's, also body filler. Or there are instructions on how to machine one that looks stock from aluminium

Mk2

Was looking at the progress of the Mk2 restoration yesterday my friend is helping with. The car is completely disassembled and the body was sent out and is at what I'll call the bake shop. The car had been sitting outside for 30 years and also had some accident damage. They are looking at a concours quality restoration and want to use as much of the original car as possible. Will be asking more questions, but going to start slow. First the dash is missing 1 corner and in bad shape should they repair or replace, remember they want to use as much of the original car as possible. Next question is on the Jenson methology they have a Alpine donor car but I cautioned him not to use to much. I had my car Taced this fall and he's going to look at my car with the body man before they do something they shouldn't. Question here did Jensen use the same methology on the Mk2 as my Mk1. I didn't get a chance to look at it when it arrived but was told it was complete with all the trim which is being re chromed now. Thanks Kevin
