Wanted Tiger 1 convertible side panel chrome trim pieces

I'm on the edge of having some made. A owner in Newport Beach, B. Kaplan had some made years ago with out the pins. Would that be a deal killer?
 
There's lots of adhesives not glue that are used today. I have a slightly beat up original set. The stock ones are pretty easy to beat up when opening and closing. I have a set that Brad made probably 10 years ago. There's no way you can tell that they're not stock unless you open up the doors and look to see if it has pins and the little steel speed nut like clips.
