Tiger and Golf Ball Drivers....

So, I have spent the last year playing golf. Knowing that the post I would be stationed on here in Korea has a 9 hole course just steps from my door, I dedicated myself to golf. I have a stack of golf books I have read and over 300 golf balls in my room (good story) in addition to many golf training devices. I play 18 holes every day of the weekend and played 50 holes over two days last weekend. My game has improved greatly of course but I still suck. Golf is hard...

So! How many of you are Golfers and how many of you would like to get together some time driving our Tigers to go drive balls at a golf course?

Golf is a hateful game. I "play" occasionally.
My handicap is me.

Pay my air fare And I'll let you beat me as long as you don't wear those shorts. :)

I am ready anytime...but you have to promise to go slow so my stock Tiger can keep up.

Up until 4 years ago I was a pretty decent golfer (10 hdcp). I was obsessed with all things golf and like you did for the past year, I spent every weekend golfing. Then I got my Tiger. Since then my handicap has suffered as I now do Tiger stuff and car things in general.

I must admit you and your buddy surely look like golfers...which is half the battle.

I do not remember too many golf courses in Korea when I was there. In fact, it was 40 years ago this week, I departed Camp Carroll Army Depot for home.

Jim,

You would not believe this place now....in fact would not recognize it at all. Thank you sir for serving here when it really sucked and there was no golf coursers. You know that we have the motto we live by "fight tonight', that would surely screw up the course.

I am stationed 18 miles from the DMZ and work in one of the last operational underground bunkers the Army mans. Happy as hell to get my ass out of here soon.

It might have sucked by today's standards, but at least nobody was shooting at me, so my memories are all good.

Get home safe and start putting out those Tiger videos.
 
Tiger Golf ?

Dad was a golfer. I learned to curse (not swear) as his caddie. He hated the Tiger for some reason? I will never, ever wear those clothes ! Besides, the truth is that you never really play golf; golf plays you . . . . . .Golfing in Scotland; probably the only time that a Scot will actually spend money on anything. . . . . .
 
Lucky the tiger had a ear parcel shelf ... Can't really fut a bag fit clubs in the boot! Duke over a 1/4 mike which can you drive faster and straighter?

All through high school and college, my golf clubs occupied the passenger seat of my Tiger...my tennis racket was behind the drivers seat- actually- holding up the drivers seat! Now it seems I hardly have time for the Tiger or the golf clubs...maybe next year when I retire!!

Dad loved the game. Although in those years he was actually headquartered out of OAK for TIA (then Transamerica Airlines), we lived on a PGA course in Greensboro NC. (Forest Oaks) for those in the know. I picked up a racquet instead and played seriously enough for sponsorships and free gear through start of college and then was a teaching and semi semi semi pro player for fun after school. But golf was always ingrained in me too. I seldom get a chance to play due the length of time a round and 19th hole takes, but I'm fair for that level of non commitment. Mid to high 80s most usually. Shot a 79 in AZ with client and then basically quit. This as I've seen that more play /= lower scores and I'm not going to break 70 so forget it. Lol.

Would love to see this happen sometime, talk helos and carburetors whilst nursing cans and three putting.

You know Duke within a five mile radius of my house here in Carmel there must be at least ten excellent golf courses. Because of this I am used to seeing just about any kind of get up you can imagine in the way of golf
clothing. The Baja Cantina is right next to the Quail golf course and several of us locals hang out at lunch time several times a week. The place is a watering hole for out of towners that have finished their game. We have devised a scoring scheme of "1" for very good looking outfit to "10" for "oh my god who dressed him" on napkins that we pass along the bar. I can't say for sure but I would guess if you walked into the Baja with that outfit on you would get a standing ovation and full compliment of "10's ".
Does your Wife know you bought that outfit ???

I can only imagine...attached is our 1012 Quail winning team for most unusual
golf attire, is yours kinda like the guy on the end ??? One thing that has always puzzled me about the game is the worse the player the wilder the dress
and I would think it would be the other way around. I guess it has to do with how far you have to go in the ruff and your fear of being lost.......Can you post a few more pictures of your outfits ????? The guys at the Baja aren't going to believe me unless I have pictures.....

I learned as a boy, played on my high school golf team, played in college for fun and pretty much stopped when my kids were born.

Once upon a time I had a 10 handicap, today my swing is my handicap.

For Tiger camaraderie I would be happy to dust off the sticks and go for a round.

Now to be serious about the game of golf like alot of guys that say they used to play and that is the boat I'm in now, used to love the game so much bought a house in FL on a golf coarse, got good enough to get a sponsorship from a freind that had a a big plumbing business I was good enough to play from the back tee's and played some competitive golf but just couldn't handle the mental aspect of the game, it is such a hard sport.
So i still enjoy getting out and playing a round and I really enjoy it.
I'll be out of the game for at least a year since I just had shoulder surgery on my left shoulder and can't hardly get my arm above my shoulder without killing me.
So for now my car will have to do the winning for me :)
Hope some day we can hook for a little friendly competition :)
