Perhaps I'm missing something but have never seen a Tiger chrome heater control lever with blower switch incorporated. It was available with the early Alpines but to my knowledge not with the SIV/Tiger...

My car was built July 10,1964 -black dash and no hole for a heater switch.

I owned an early black dash Tiger and this is what the dash looked like.

Ok. Learned something here. When checking the parts list it says there early style lever was used up to B9400272 (SIV). So the very early Blackdash Tigers should have truly used them as well.
As you know on most of them the switch is broken.

P.S. Let me know if you don't find the proper one in US/UK. I may be able to help ;)

On the early cars when they were sorting spec still i think both may have been used.. As they started to upspec interiors before adding the carpet and wood dash spec.

My July 10, 1964 came with a wood steering wheel, carpet and black dash

Cheers

OK; Is that steering wheel plastic or wood ?
The wheel was an aftermarket Lecarra leather wrapped wheel. I'm not sure what it came with originally. I recall reading somewhere that some of the early Tigers had the plastic Alpine wheel, but not sure if that is true, and if so, how many cars were produced that way.
