Tiger Dana rear housing?

One guy on CL in Cali

The ad says he will pay 500, but if he has a Tiger with a Ford 9" or nothing at all I'd bet 1000 is more like a good ballpark.
Have the serial number? look in a BON and see how many cars have that number.
If it has a posi core add a couple hun , 2.88 stock or a more desirable ratio? Hard to find a person who needs one , not cheap to ship either.

FYI All: I've had very good luck shipping larger items with Fastenall. Trannys, blocks, rears, etc. strapped to a small pallet and they cart them from store to store thru their National network. Very reasonable, no affill.

Condition Condition

What is one worth? Are many people looking for one?

Condition establishes value. We've had owners bring in their prized finds only to discover ground meat or bent tubes, etc. etc.

Actually...shipping to CA was a no go w/ Fastenal

They were far from interested in having to do with a short block.

Had to search a bit. I ended up using FedEx of all things (corp account). $240 TX>CA.

I've heard mostly good (and some bad) about Greyhound FWIW...

I had good luck with Greyhound--I was shipping roll bars. back to the dana--I have the dana 3rd member--ring and pinion I guess it is. I was going to sell it to someone looking to fill his empty housing but we never could decide on a decent price.........so I kept it.

Dana

I'm looking for a Tiger rear axle setup to save myself from all the custom work of having to mod an 8.8 or ect. I'm a little cash poor at the moment since I just bought a new bigger house with a nice big shop to finally have room to work on stuff. Now I've got two house payments till our first house sells, and some lovely attorneys fees since our realtor was wrong about our property lines (it's in the country) and sold us a lot of the neighbors bordering property, and barn . This could take a while to fix...
