Geez... didn't see the location when I posted the link ... other end of the country from me.
I just saw seller saying it was a Texas car.. but was also LROFE so started out across the pond

According to Rick at SS site the "O" means standard, not sure what that means? The "L" is for left hand drive export.

My guess would be France or Germany... maybe a serviceman brought it over

I think to be a home market car ( UK ) it would be HRO...

Pretty car, my car has a choke pull too, but it also has a 2 speed blower.
The rustiest part of the floors is usually under the scuttle area. Is it just me or do those exhaust pass thru's look cavernous?
 
I think the pass throughs look right...the pipe is squished down to about a inch :D

Better to be a Texas car tha a Quebec car! I here there's a few rust piles around there that used to be MKII's :eek:

Yep.. an AC repop housing would sweeten up that engine bay alright ;)
I sent the seller an email asking about the wheels... they look a lot like mine and I've never come across another set :(

The car is only a few of miles from me, he had it listed locally for $26K CDN for quite a while, but guess it didn't sell...
Looks like he cleaned it up and slathered it in Amor All, maybe he'll have better luck on flea Bay.

PS. Interesting that he says it was originally Carousel Red, sure looks like Hunter Green under the carpets in that second to last shot?

I have the same set of wheels. Mine were new out of the box. They are Shelby wheels from back when the Old Man was putting his name on everything. Mine are gold center with black (fake) allen head bolts. The center caps in the picture are from some other wheel as the original had a typical plastic snap-in cap with the Shelby logo. My .02...
