Mal,

knowing what state that car has come from.. just amazing! Congratulations it's looking great.. hope you are on the road soon.

Thanks!

What a beautiful car! I really like the black wheels with the Carnival Red colour. Thank you for sharing the photos.

I love the hood. I've been wanting to do a hood scoop, but I like the bulge better, I think. I definately like the vents better than the LAT hood with its triangular openings. The quality of your workmanship is outstanding. I can't wait to see more.

Regards,
John.

Although I would like to take the credit for the craftmanship, I am no tin basher. The clever bugger is the man in the black T shirt. But thanks anyway.
Cheers Mal

And thanks Holycat.

I am going to use a 1/2" phenolic spacer instead of the 1", and find a better air cleaner.

I also have to find a way to plumb in the pcv valve as these valve covers have no provision for one. Any ideas welcome.

Cheers

Hate to tell you this but you put the dash in backwards.......
Just kidding--sure looks good so far.

a fine project

Looking real good fella. Won't be long before your spinning road stains into the wheel wells.

Car looking great from your up to date pics Mal, not long now before you'll be firing up the beast for the first time :)

I checked out the video, the motor sounds very smooth. Congrats.

A question for you... Is the insulation on the firewall the same as what you used on the floors? If so what did you use and what were the reasons? I am looking to do the same thing on my car.

Thanks,

Gene

Gene,

I used Dynamat extreme which is the siver insulation first. Then on the firewall I used Dynaliner over the top of the Dynamat. Dynaliner is a good insulator to heat ( so they say ). Hopefully what I have done will make the car quite and cool.

Very interesting approach. Never thought about putting two layers, same or different, on the firewall. Thank for the info.

Gene
