Get a grip!

Those original tires in a couple of those black and white pictures wouldn't give me a vote of confidence in the corners.

I like how the spectators are standing on the INSIDE of the guardrail on that mountain corner. That way if the driver loses it, they not only get crushed against the guardrail, but then fall backwards over the cliff. Wheeeeeeee...!!!

That cockpit is all business!

Those are some serious snow tires in that last picture.

Back in the Super 8mm film days, it was fairly common for us to step over the rail just to get a good oncoming 'drift' shot. Not smart, but great moving pics. There may have been some adult beverages involved.
