Please tell

Contact info for the seller maybe I need a tool bag. I just bought a strap from Dillon at the last swap meet I was at.

I had three of the straps on my table at the United. Send me a message.

Randy, you want an original to repro or to buy an accurate rerpro?

I know someone who made a couple of accurate repros a couple of years back. They may have some left, i guess in theory they could do more if they can source the right buckles again

Randy,
I have reproduction straps. On my way to first in class at the United Concours I lost 1/2 of a point for not having an original spare tire in the trunk. My total points was 21.5 of a possible 22 so my straps must be OK.

What good is a chunk of rubber that can never be used as a spare tire? Seems like more points should be taken off for not have a real spare. Unless they also take points off for not having the original Dunlops all around.

Kidding right

A jack that doesn't work, tools that you can't use a spare that you would be scared to drive on. Sounds like a theme for a car:)

My original strap or any of my bits are available as a model for reproduction. We all are ahead when we cooperate and share information.

But back to the thread. The bag looks nice but can't see the fabric ties nor the plastic heat welded sections, and Gilles why didn't you buy one off the table?

I drove this car when it had 6.50 bias ply tires on it. I don't remember radials being available in the 60's. I still have some bias ply tires mounted on wheels in my garage on the south end of town. My car did lose two points for the non standard wheels and tires.

My First Radials

I bought my used Tiger in 1970 and it had biased ply tires. I don't remember much about them, but within 6 months, I had bought a set of radial tires - Pirellis as I recall.

I have a set of J C Penney A78-13 bias ply studded snow tires that were on my fastback when parked in 1970-71? One has a permanent flat spot from sitting flat until 2006 when I bought it.

tool strap

Moss Motors has one for the MGA that's very close, as well as the steel plate that holds it. 2 straps are provided.
