Tri-State Auto Show (Denver)

My Tiger got accepted to the Tri-State Auto show. It is in Denver, in the middle of March. This car was in the Oakland Roadster show back when it was first finished, but has not been in anything big since. This is an invite-only show, with less than 200 cars so I am pretty flattered.

Any thoughts or helpful hints are welcome!!

Tigers are pretty rare now, but a lot of people recognize them and have a story to tell. For this reason, when one is entered in a show without any other Tigers (even british car shows), it usually does well (wins some trophies). I am not an expert on how to present a car at a particular car show. It would help to find out as much as you can about that particular car show etc. I think people going to the show appreciate information about the particular car. Perhaps something about the building of the car and the transition to your young son would be helpful. How about some photos of your car posted here so we can appreciate your efforts? Cliff

Cliff, thanks for the ideas! Here is the car:

Intetesting venting into the front guards from the engine bay, the same as the works racers and the hollywood tiger... But are there any exits to the outside somewhere?

...the Brunk Tiger- nice car!

That actually gave me chills!

My dad was Rich Brunk. He passed away in '13. Just before his passing I got the car running again and was able to take him for one last ride.
When the car was rebuilt, he did all the mechanical, and I did all the body and paint. Working on the car now is bitter sweet and brings back so many good memories. I am glad to see its history is not forgotten.

I can give you an information page to print A4 to A2 for your car. I can probably send you one for the stock Tiger specs nect week. After that i may have time to do a custom one for your car.. But my base files are a little hard to get to at the moment.

I also have a Tiger history page that could be a4- a2 printed. Drop me a PM with your email and can discuss

Michael, good eye. The vents were there when we bought the car. There is no outside venting so I am not sue how much they help...if at all.

I tried to send a PM, your mailbox is full!

Maybe

Cover the roll bar. It's pretty in matching body color but I've seen cars listed for sale on BaT as well as mine in a "story" got the bash a Tiger treatment just for having one. . I notice that you have a Phillips head screw in place of the big slot that is on the D.S. corner of the scuttle. It does stick out a little more when it's not body color and that there isn't one on the other side which is correct but people don't know that. I really had to try hard to respond to your question. Very pretty car . More pictures would be nice , maybe you could see my forum hint for reducing size. If you would like to fix the title you have to click on go advanced when you are editing that post. I'm Happy to do it for you if you would like.

Warren, Thanks for the critique, and the kind words. the roll bar has always been a tricky part of the car. Some like the look, some don't. The structural integrity is something I have wondered about as well. It does serve as a good mounting point for the seat belts...lol.
I have fixed the title, and will post up more photos shortly.

Luckily

You are in Colorado, with expired registration ;)
You need this shirt to go with the license plate.

Just as we pulled into the venue they cancelled the show. My boy and I were both super disappointed as we put a lot of work into this. We got back to my shop and dejectedly unloaded. Seeing the look on my kids face made things worse! I decided a little horsepower therapy was in order! That put a smile on both our faces.
Warren, I put the new sticker on today! That hat and cover are GREAT!!!

Awesome

When I got my son into the Tiger for a Tigers United autocross it was like ba De Lorean time machine I had not heard him laugh like that for many years.
..then we flogged his rental Challenger.

The show is back on for this weekend! I have the car looking better than ever, and we are excited! If you happen to be in the Denver area Halloween weekend stop by!
