Curtain Details
The vinyl curtain is made of similar material to those found on the seats. It is significantly thinner than the currently available and nearly perfectly matching surface appearance vinyls from known sources (S/S and Martha Wheat, possibly even your local fabric store if you knew what to look for). See side by side for thickness and surface grain appearance.
The curtain is stitched on all four sides:
- Top has a pocket to allow two separate thin (easily flexible) metal stiffeners, approximately ~1/2" in height and going half the span of the curtain equally. The metal bar allows eight rivets of a particular type to attach the top to the metal rail; hopefully you have existing holes there(?). the two in center are closer together.
- Bottom has a plastic clip sewn into the length of the curtain to allow it to clip to the lower part of the trunk (boot) below the riveted top portion. This allows the curtain to sag / fold loosely.
- Side stitches are common, single roll, black stitching.
Definitely one of the easier bits to gather together yourself, relatively speaking.
Per: 66' MKIA ...428... YMMV
Good luck,
