Hey guys, wonder if I could get your input on this: my turn signal quit working / blinking. The lite on the dash comes on and the exterior lites come on with the blinker stalk, but they do not blink on and off. I figure this is some elec item quit working? Any advise please? Thank you.

Bill either the flasher can quit, mounted under the dash on the dash support rail .. Or there is an earthimg issue.. Probbaly the former.

Thank you, Michael. I'll get on it. Don't like driving without blinkers working.

As long as

You are under there...
Swap the flasher and bulbs to LED compatible. Might as well go brighter and more reliable. It's no fun to wriggle under the dash it's hard even with the seats out.

Do you have to get a different flasher too?

I saw an article in a car magazine a few months ago about a company who sells LED replacements. Their address is lbcarco.com

Parlanti excuse my spellin:)

You may have a problem if you change the Flasher dash light to LED. I did it and the flasher would not work. Changed the dash light back to standard and all works well. Yes it is a LED flasher unit.

Questions

Do the turn signal lights as well as the dash light all have to be LED lights in order for the LED flasher unit to work right? We know the standard flasher works when all are incandescent lights, but what if only the dash is an LED? Or what if the turn signal bulbs are LEDS and the dash is incandescent?

I have LED bulbs in the exterior lights and incandescent in the dash lights. I used the set from Joe P. That includes the flasher. Exterior lights including turn signals all work fine.

Jeez thanks guys... I read up on the offerings from Joe and went down the rabbit hole. I did a Holley EFI conversion last year and my dash illumination is a horrible mismatch so hopefully this will help. A few clicks of the mouse and my credit card is under attack! :O
I'll report back with results!

Thanks for the Info

Jim,

Thanks! So it sounds like an LED flasher is needed with LED turn signal lights, regardless of the dash light. Good to know.
