Upcoming CAT meetings/events

Hi all, here is a quick rundown of the upcoming CAT meetings.

The August CAT meeting is at the Monterey Motorsports Reunion Race on Sunday, August 19th during the mid day lunch break (let's say 11:30) in the Trippel/Sakai/Alcala pit area.

The CAT autocross will be on Sept. 15th at Long Beach Veterans Stadium (LBCC) parking lot. From the 405: Exit North on Lakewood Blvd. Turn Right on E. Conant Street. Turn Left on Faculty Avenue and look for the gate on your right.

Drivers' meeting at 9:00 a.m. Cost is $35 for four runs. For more information:

The September CAT meeting will be on Sunday, September 23rd at the Coronado Speed Festival Race in San Diego. We will meet in the Trippel/Alcala/Sakai pit area on Sunday during the mid day break which should be around 11:30 am.
The hot tip is to bring your Tiger or Alpine and park in the Car Corral, it's much closer to the track than regular parking.

The October meeting will be on the 13th, we will meet at Mimi's right outside the Torrance Airport at 8:30am for breakfast.

After breakfast we will tour Fly "n" Wheels, a private car/plane collection housed in the airport.

After we get done there a past CAT president that lives at the beach arranged for us to tour Mike McCluskey's famous Cobra restoration facility that's on the other side of the airport.

Lastly, Bud Williams has again generously offered to let us use his amazing Anaheim facility to have our annual CAT swap meet/ giant Subway sandwich buffet/ officer nomination meeting.
This will be on November 3rd and his address is 2950 E. Coronado Street in Anaheim.

The October 13th meeting sounds like fun, might be worth the 7 hour drive.

Tom Sakai and myself will be towing up to Monterey in a few hours where we'll race at the Pre-Reunion this weekend and then at the Reunion the following week.

The Tigers have been assigned spaces O-4 through O-8. We're about in the fifth aisle, on the left, after the entrance to the Paddock. (We are very close to the bridge to the vendor area over the track between turns 3 and 4.)

This weekend we'll practice Saturday and Sunday mornings and then race in the afternoons.

At the Reunion, we practice and qualify on Thursday and Friday mornings and then race twice on Saturday. On Sunday we'll host the CAT meeting in our pits. Steve Sorenson will join us with one of his race Tigers for the Reunion. And Steve Alcala will race his Sebring works Alpine.
