Hello So CAL CAT Club members;

May 31st, 2025 DYNO DAY and CAT Club meeting. At the Queen's English CAT Club meeting, a desire for a Dyno Day was raised to get some cars tested. Once again we are very fortunate to have found an operation willing to do a Dyno Day event for our club. David Stoker’s Hot Rod Factory 1663 W 9th St, Upland, CA 91786. He has a DynoJet rated to 2000 hp. The cost is $75 for two pulls and if anybody would like to have any major adjustments made to improve their power or driveability, he can offer that, but would run those cars last and tuning is an additional $105 per hour (time permitting). Cash is preferred but Venmo and PayPal can be accommodated on site if needed. He’d like to start running the dyno about 9am and will be there and open by 8:30am. Everyone needs to have tires in good shape and no more that 10 years old. Fluids checked, car fueled up, no leaks. He also would like to cap the number of cars at 10, so I will be making an RSVP list. Please send an email to catigerevents@gmail.com

Our club meeting will take place about 10am for anyone wanting to drop by.

Thank you and hope to see you there!

Dan MacMedan
CAT President.

There are still spots left for the May 31st Dyno Day in Upland, CA. Remember, this is a GREAT way to make sure your Tiger or Alpine is running in peak condition! You've spent all this money on engine and trans and everything else, why not take a little time to make sure it's running as well as it should!

RSVP to catigerevents@gmail.com and come on down!

Cheers,

Tons of fun was had at the Dyno Day. Both Fred Bongard and I ran our Tigers ( I brought Larry Young's green MK1 ) and decided we could use their services later for some in depth tuning!
Dan Walters brought the Alpine Racer with a new and louder exhaust as he preps it for the Monterey Reunion. But the real fun entry was a young man from San Diego named Simon who brought his 1972 Pinto Runabout with a 302 out of an F150 dropped into it. A DIY EFI set up, manual gearbox, and IRS andit's set up for autocrossing! We all enjoyed having him participate as Tiger people love a V8 dropped into a car that was made for a four cylinder!
