Water Pump rebuild parts

I've outlived supply availablities
All the local supply houses have been swallowed up by mega corps. and now only stock the fastest 90 day movers. So this aging wonder (me) walks in and naively asks the counter for a bearing & seal kit for an early Ford aluminum water pump C4OE-8505-A, like I have for 45 years and the con-fab went downhill from there. "No, the universal C5 re-builds have stud bosses in the wrong places and won't work", etc. etc. etc. Now, I'm looking for a re-builder who will gratiously part with a few bearings and seals. Any help would be gladly appreciated. r

If you measure the bearing,and seal, you can probably get one from a bearing supply co. This link explains it better.

I have replaced many bearings and seals on my Harley this way, much cheaper than buying from HD.

Thx for all the replies & E-mails guys. Since re-builds can be had far cheaper than the kits, we stole the new guts for the original core. Things are happy now . . . . .
