This is one of those things that guy's don't care about till they have a problem. If you add a 0 deductible on your driver it's less, unless you end up with a wiper score in the glass that unrepairable, typically an uncovered loss I'd say. We had a member with a glass shop. We discussed the economies of scale. This is the same guy who made the AS1 hard top rear window for Lee and several others. I'm in the like to have a replacement camp. Despite the low demand difficulty crating and shipping these items this seems like another group buy situation.
 
A few months ago I ordered a Pilkington for my Tiger through the local Advance Auto Glass in Santa Rosa, CA. The window showed up no problem. I'm installing it myself when the time comes. So, yes find a local installer who works with Pilkington and it should be easy. Also, if anything happens to the glass prior to pickup it's someone elses problem.
