Hi all,
Long story short my Tiger had a carb fire about 25 years ago. Figured it was time to get it back on the road so I have been trying to install the replacement harness I purchased long ago. Problem is I removed the wiring harness after the fire and didn’t take any pics. What I now need are pics of how the harness is secured behind the dash panel, thanks in advance for any assistance!

California Association of Sunbeam Tigers (CAT) parts has a dash wiring diagram for $5.00 that shows the behind dash wiring arrangement, if this helps. Cliff

Cliff, Thanks. Contacted CAT but they don't have pictures of how the wiring behind the dash is arranged and secured. If anyone out there has pictures of the behind the dash when disassembling for restoration I sure would like to see them.

Loaned out

I loaned mine out . It was a plastic coated placemat like thing. Can someone snap a pic of one?
When you say how the wiring harness is secured does that mean how it's held up to the back of the firewall?
I can take a picture of the the wiring harness and the cable type ties.

The wiring harness comes in on the left side all the dashboard underneath it is held by a metal clip that is part of the scuttle.
Then the wiring harness comes up and is affixed to the bottom of the lower crash pad with a metal clip as seen in the picture.
Then the wiring harness continues on to the other side of the heater control but below and attaches to the same point where the lower crash pad bolts to the dashboard.

Can't up load will try later.

This is a bit off topic but I would not post a picture of any copyrighted piece (like the CAT dash wiring) without getting permission from the copyright holder.

And I certainly hope somebody doesn't try to violate CAT's copyright on CAT's own forum. That would be too ironic.

That being said, it's not clear that the "placemat" is even what Coy's asking for.

Really

I don't think I was the only one unclear about what our OP wanted.
Maybe if he said, Bill said that the diagram doesn't show the fixing points. It's hard to buy another car to park next to the other just so you know how it goes together.
Do a good turn daily was all I was aiming for. Customer service builds community guys call me and ask me questions some days I call them.

But as I recall from yesterday the metal band clips were held on with 11/32s nuts. Dave has offered to post pictures for me, bad service and voice to text often types some things differently.

Coy be happy to send you a some un copyrighted dash pictures of a together car. Be putting in some light bulbs tomorrow and my head under dash legs in back seat. Send me a cell phone number . Also how about a picture of your car in "My Tiger's story."

Under dash wiring

I doubt that household wire nut shown in picture #1 was factory installed and suggest replacement asap as they are known to vibrate loose and cause fires.

OP

Yes no wire nuts on this next set of pictures. Disregard the previous.
Thanks Tom that is a parts car. The pictures to follow are Tiger and the loom is not fastened. But for the metal body clips and what you see.

Here are some good ones off a pretty original car. Although it had had a radio installed once at dealer then some other replacement seller.
