Here is the fitting on the back of the manifold and the block off plate just under it I need -

That's a different fitting for the booster hose to manifold than the one that came on my Mk1a.

Mine doesn't have a side connection for a small hose.

It has no part # that I can see but one of the faces has 6 adjoining circles.

I have no idea if it is correct but the car went into storage 1980-2008 so it's correct or pre 1981 unless swapped while in storage.

Almost Right

The front spring post is correct. The throttle cable perch is missing the separate bottom mount used for slide adjustment. The brass banjo and 5/8" X 18tpi bolt are correct but the intermediate fitting is not.

Other side

I'm curious of this 2v asbestos thing. Not sure I ever saw one but my car was only driven from 66-69 and then sat ever since. Does it have what you speak of? Only pic of engine that I have. Pick the car up soon and can take more.

I probably have everything Duke is asking for, but plan to keep all of this stuff in the event I sell so I can provide all original pieces.

There is a 1/4 metal pipe on the passenger side that leads up to the carb from the exhaust it has the white asbestos mesh that looks somewhat like mini hot rod muffler wrap.

I hope you get that car Pitt before someone changes their mind.:)

I've got one of the pipes around here somewhere but didn't realize the white covering is asbestos. That doesn't sound too promising.

Warren, will give you a ring tomorrow.

I must say I have never seen a water outlet like the one on the back of that manifold--very interesting and clever.

Here's a picture of the booster hose to manifold fitting found on my Mk1a.

Obviously the banjo piece is not pictured.

We both signed a sales agreement and checks cashed.

I found one tonight too. But mine has a male fitting on it and the 2v carb uses a female. So no idea what this is off of.

Available New Repro ?

Somewhere, on the resto Mustang sites, I've seen a repair kit for the choke heater tubes. Also the correct dizzy vacuum line.

I just put my 2BBL back to a proper heated choke-- it had been converted to a manual. Scott Drake makes the choke tube kit and it's pretty cheap-- $21 at Summit includes both tubes, the fiberglass covering, the hose up to the air cleaner, the fittings at the carb, and the little S-clip to hold the two tubes together.

The problem with the vacuum advance is finding the threaded advance unit. Mine had a leaky diaphragm  and the only replacement I could find had a rubber hose nipple.

Same as

The little bitty ones used on your stock heater valve bracket I think. It got piled on by VW stuff. I hope all your friends have their reading glasses on when looking at your prized dust collector:)

All the ones I have seen have a Phillips head screw on them to fasten the ground wire on them-not a bolt. Eric

I my advanced years, like to do things just once.....its faster and cheaper that way. I just received the "proper" coil and generator ID stickers.

I

Yield to Eric and his Olde English Rootes knowledge.

I only have a survey of the one that came complete in a box of bits.

A 52 yr old Tiger pal was twisting bolts and complaining repeatedly on having to use them last night, naturally I said it just gets worse with time but my car looks better as I get older:)

Don't want to disturb Eric's wisdom but I have two T pieces one with a Philips screw the other one with a bolt. Would be interesting to learn which Tiger used which version...
